To The Clouds Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBABBCACADEAEDFAF FD

O painted clouds sweet beauties of the skyA
How have I view'd your motion and your restB
When like fleet hunters ye have left mine eyeA
In your thin gauze of woolly fleecing drestB
Or in your threaten'd thunder's grave black vestB
Like black deep waters slowly moving byA
Awfully striking the spectator's breastB
With your Creator's dread sublimityB
As admiration mutely views your stormsC
And I do love to see you idly lieA
Painted by heav'n as various as your formsC
Pausing upon the eastern mountain highA
As morn awakes with spring's wood harmonyD
And sweeter still when in your slumbers soothE
You hang the western arch o'er day's proud eyeA
Still as the even pool uncurv'd and smoothE
My gazing soul has look'd most placidlyD
And higher still devoutly wish'd to strainF
To wipe your shrouds and sky's blue blinders byA
With all the warmness of a moon struck brainF
To catch a glimpse of Him who bids you reignF
And view the dwelling of all majestyD
