Betrayed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH BJBJ KLML NOCO

Dream not of love to think it likeA
What waking love may prove to beB
For I dreamed so and broke my heartC
When my false lover slighted meB
-
Love like to flowers is sweet when greenD
The rose in bud aye best appearsE
And she that loves a handsome manF
Should have more wit than she has yearsE
-
I put my finger in a bushG
Thinking the sweeter rose to findH
I pricked my finger to the boneI
And left the sweetest rose behindH
-
I threw a stone into the seaB
And deep it sunk into the sandJ
And so did my poor heart in meB
When my false lover left the landJ
-
I watched the sun an hour too soonK
Set into clouds behind the townL
So my false lover left and saidM
Good night before the day was downL
-
I cropt a lily from the stalkN
And in my hand it died awayO
So did my joy so will my heartC
In false love's cruel grasp decayO
