Labyrinth Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABA BBA BBA CBA ABA ABAA

Somewhere within the murmuring of thingsA
that make no difference aimlessly playingB
drifting in the wind a loose door swingsA
-
banging against a wall the piece of stringB
that held it shut has blown away DelayingB
somewhere within the murmuring of thingsA
-
crickets and tree toads pause listeningB
now they go on with their shrill surveyingB
Drifting in the wind a loose door swingsA
-
in widening arcs Each rusty iron hingeC
creaks in a different key each is decayingB
somewhere within The murmuring of thingsA
-
wells up the quickening thrum of wingsA
the pulsing intersecting voice swayingB
drifting in the wind A loose door swingsA
-
no torch no adventitious thread bringsA
meaning to this maze this endless strayingB
somewhere within the murmuring of thingsA
Drifting in the wind a loose door swingsA
