Flambeau Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEA FEC FEA FEC FFAC

There where the pool of mortal light beginsA
to gather where the rivulet breaks freeB
to make a fire a flame blows in the windC
-
This is no easy rising odds and endsD
of nothingness to stir darkness to seizeE
there where the pool of mortal light beginsA
-
Many have doubted many refused to bendF
to such simplicity down on their kneesE
to make a fire A flame blows in the windC
-
and casts its shadow where it will To fendF
away the cold time's unremitting freezeE
there where the pool of mortal light beginsA
-
a single spark will do if it but lendF
the necessary fury to the fallen treesE
to make a fire a flame blows in the windC
-
Nothing can summon that which has no endF
and no beginning Yet flesh can blendF
there where the pool of mortal light beginsA
to make a fire A flame blows in the windC
