| were somehow left out of the preceding pages | B |
| But the book's finished now and the time | C |
| for making changes is past In other ages | B |
| corrections were dropped in loose on a slip | D |
| of paper but nobody ever read them or cared | E |
| if it should have been tripe and not trip | D |
| or the heroine been not speared but spared | E |
| And now that words are processed we ourselves | F |
| no longer need to spell or punctuate | G |
| software provides a group of learn d elves | F |
| to shift our prose from third to second rate | G |
| Farewell then fluttering slip of old errata | G |
| There are no slips when everything is data | G |
