To Amanda - Come, Dear Amanda, Quit The Town Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFEGHGHIJKJ

Come dear Amanda quit the townA
And to the rural hamlets flyB
Behold the wintry storms are goneC
A gentle radiance glads the skyB
The birds awake the flowers appearD
Earth spreads a verdant couch for theeE
'Tis joy and music all we hearF
'Tis love and beauty all we seeE
Come let us mark the gradual springG
How peeps the bud the blossom blowsH
Till Philomel begins to singG
And perfect May to swell the roseH
E'en so thy rising charms improveI
As life's warm season grows more brightJ
And opening to the sighs of loveK
Thy beauties glow with full delightJ
