The Study And Beauties Of The Works Of Nature Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGCHIJKLMNOPQRS TUO Nature all sufficient over all | A |
Enrich me with the knowledge of Thy works | B |
Snatch me to heaven Thy rolling wonders there | C |
World beyond world in infinite extent | D |
Profusely scatter'd o'er the void immense | E |
Shew me their motions periods and their laws | F |
Give me to scan through the disclosing deep | G |
Light my blind way the mineral strata there | C |
Thrust blooming thence the vegetable world | H |
O'er that the rising system more complex | I |
Of animals and higher still the mind | J |
The varied scene of quick compounded thought | K |
And where the mixing passions endless shift | L |
These ever open to my ravish'd eye | M |
A search the flight of time can ne'er exhaust | N |
But if to that unequal if the blood | O |
In sluggish streams about my heart forbid | P |
That best ambition under closing shades | Q |
Inglorious lay me by the lowly brook | R |
And whisper to my dreams From Thee begin | S |
Dwell all on Thee with Thee conclude my song | T |
And let me never never stray from Thee | U |
