The Morning Lark Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDAABB

Feather'd lyric warbling highA
Sweetly gaining on the skyA
Op'ning with thy matin layB
Nature's hymn the eye of dayB
Teach my soul on early wingC
Thus to soar and thus to singC
While the bloom of orient lightD
Gilds thee in thy tuneful flightD
May the Day spring from on highA
Seen by faith's religious eyeA
Cheer me with His vital rayB
Promise of eternal dayB
