Nothing Formed In Vain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGEHIJKLMNOPQRS TUVW

Let no presuming impious railer taxA
Creative wisdom as if aught was form'dB
In vain or not for admirable endsC
Shall little haughty ignorance pronounceD
His works unwise of which the smallest partE
Excceeds the narrow vision of her mindF
As if upon a full proportion'd domeG
On swelling columns heav'd the pride of artE
A critic fly whose feeble ray scarce spreadsH
An inch around with blind presumption boldI
Should dare to tax the structure of the wholeJ
And lives the man whose universal eyeK
Has swept at once th' unbounded scheme of thingsL
Mark'd their dependence so and firm accordM
As with unfalt'ring accent to concludeN
That this availeth nought Has any seenO
The mighty chain of beings less'ning downP
From infinite perfection to the brinkQ
Of dreary nothing desolate abyssR
From which astonish'd thought recoiling turnsS
Till then alone let zealous praise ascendT
And hymns of holy wonder to that PowerU
Whose wisdom shines as lovely in our mindsV
As on our smiling eyes his servant sunW
