Mists In Autumn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRST UDVWX

Now by the cool declining year condescendA
Descend the copious exhalations check'dB
As up the middle sky unseen they stoleC
And roll the doubling fogs around the hillD
No more the mountain horrid vast sublimeE
Who pours a sweep of rivers from his sidesF
And high between contending kingdoms rearsG
The rocky long division fills the viewH
With great variety but in a nightI
Of gath'ring vapour from the baffled senseJ
Sinks dark and dreary thence expanding farK
The huge dusk gradual swallows up the plainL
Vanish the woods the dim seen river seemsM
Sullen and slow to roll the misty waveN
Ev'n in the height of noon oppress'd the sunO
Sheds weak and blunt his wide refracted rayP
Whence glaring oft with many a broaden'd orbQ
He frights the nations Indistinct on earthR
Seen through the turbid air beyond the lifeS
Objects appear and wilder'd o'er the wasteT
The shepherd stalks gigantic till at lastU
Wreath'd dun around in deeper circles stillD
Successive closing sits the gen'ral fogV
Unbounded o'er the world and mingling thickW
A formless gray confusion covers allX
