Sweet Ravelrig I ne'er could partB
From thee but wi' a dowie heartB
When I think on the happy daysC
I spent in youth about your braesC
When innocence my steps did guideD
Where murmuring streams did sweetly glideD
Beside the braes well stored wi' treesC
And sweetest flow'rs that fend the beesC
-
And there the tuneful tribe doth singE
While lightly flitting on the wingE
And conscious peace was ever foundF
Within your mansion to aboundF
Sweet be thy former owner's restG
And peace to him that's now possess'tH
Of all thy beauties great and smallI
Lang may he live to bruik them allI
