We Grow Up Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GAGA HIHI JEKE CLCL

It was all joy and fairytaleA
until I had to grow and face the worldB
It's like all my dreams had to descaleA
The balance between what life threw at me and my goals swirledB
-
In the quitest hours of the nightC
Reality crept in and got accomodationD
Took a spot into my delightC
The flashbacks of what could've been are erased and turned into fictionD
-
With everything that life has to offerE
There's so much to be enjoyedF
But the pleasures of sleeplessness I sufferE
Is the one I cannot avoidF
-
Everyday passes with a thought of regretG
Maybe I should have done things differentlyA
All the mistakes feel like a debtG
All this blame as if the actions were deliberatelyA
-
I never chose this lifeH
My choices led me to where I am todayI
Nobody wakes up and choose a lowlifeH
I just got driven to a point where I wish I could bring back my yesterdayI
-
Why did I have to growJ
Life is not all glittery and glimmerE
Nothing in my life glowsK
I'm fighting all darkness so it doesn't remain dimmerE
-
I'm glad now I can see the lightC
Darkness has disappeared and I've found my joyL
my eyes are opened I guess I've received my sightC
I'm ready to move on past my mistakes and enjoyL
