When To Sell Grain And Farm Produce Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDE FFGG CCHI JJKK LLMM NNOP

Grain it should be sold in the fallA
Even if the price it should be smallA
For if you keep it till the springB
Sometimes a less price it doth bringB
-
For grain with whole world doth competeC
You cannot raise the price of wheatC
Then at once you should embark itD
On its way to world's marketE
-
We hope our views you don't despiseF
For grain doth shrink in weight and sizeF
If you sell wheat you can get goldG
Retain it damp may make it mouldG
-
Remember too that of your wheatC
The rats of it will fondly eatC
Sell it and money then investH
And you can get good interestI
-
The same remarks apply to cheeseJ
It shrinks and frosts make it to freezeJ
Then careful man you have to hireK
At great expense to keep up fireK
-
If you your produce quick do moveL
The business soon it will improveL
And then mankind will you blessM
For alleviating their distressM
-
And it pays best to sell each pigN
Plump and young not old fat and bigN
Young and tender now's the vogueO
Either in cattle or in hogP
