September came and with it frostA
The season's pasture it seemed lostA
And the wondrous yield of cornB
Of its green beauty it was shornB

Frost it came like early robberC
But gentle rains came in OctoberC
Which were absorbed by grateful soilD
With green once more the pastures smileE
-
And cows again are happy seenF
Enjoying of the pastures greenF
And flow of milk again they yieldG
From the sweet feed of grassy fieldG
-
And we have now a fine NovemberC
Warmer far than in SeptemberC
The apple which is queen of fruitsH
Was a good crop and so is rootsH
-
The rains they did replenish springsI
And it gratitude to each heart bringsI
When we reflect on bounteous seasonJ
For grateful feelings all have reasonJ
