Prophecy Of A Ten Ton Cheese Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A AABCDD AAEEAA FGAAHH IIDJKK LLMMNN OOAAEP

In presenting this delicate dainty morsel to the imagination of the people I believed that it could be realized I viewed the machine that turned and raised the mamoth cheese and saw the powerful machine invented by James Ireland at the West Oxford companies factory to turn the great and fine cheese he was making there This company with but little assistance could produce a ten ton cheeseA
-
-
Who hath prophetic vision seesA
In future times a ten ton cheeseA
Several companies could joinB
To furnish curd for great combineC
More honor far than making gunD
Of mighty size and many a tonD
-
Machine it could be made with easeA
That could turn this monster cheeseA
The greatest honour to our landE
Would be this orb of finest brandE
Three hundred curd they would need squeezeA
For to make this mammoth cheeseA
-
So British lands could confederateF
Three hundred provinces in one stateG
When all in harmony agreesA
To be pressed in one like this cheeseA
Then one skillful hand could acquireH
Power to move British empireH
-
But various curds must be combinedI
And each factory their curd must grindI
To blend harmonious in oneD
This great cheese of mighty spanJ
And uniform in qualityK
A glorious realityK
-
But it will need a powerful pressL
This cheese queen to caressL
And a large extent of charmsM
Hoop will encircle in its armsM
And we do not now despairN
But we shall see it at world's fairN
-
And view the people all agog soO
Excited o'er it in ChicagoO
To seek fresh conquests queen of cheeseA
She may sail across the seasA
Where she would meet reception grandE
From the warm hearts in old EnglandP
