For to gaze upon lake Erie | A |
- | |
Or on the steamer you can sail | C |
All independent of the gale | C |
Or here the youth can ply the oar | D |
And view the fast receding shore | D |
And be happy with his dearie | D |
On the bosom of lake Erie | D |
- | |
No one here need ever weary | D |
On the borders of lake Erie | D |
With quadrille parties at Stanley | D |
And games and sports all so manly | D |
Or bathe in waves with friends near thee | D |
You fear not storms of lake Erie | D |
