Lines delivered at a Firemen's Soiriee sic in the days of the hand enginesA

Our youth and beauty here arrangedB
In honor of the Fire BrigadeC
And now every man is readyD
To obey the bugle of BradyD

And always willing for to ralleyE
At the trumpet sound of WalleyE
To the fire they rush at onceF
Led on by gallant Captain VanceG
-
The firemen now their only strifeH
It seems to be a race for lifeH
Which engine first shall reach the fireI
And cause the wild flames to expireJ
