On Doctor Gardener Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAABBCCDD

Gardner told a sad tale of woeA
How he was oft o'erwhelmed in snowA
But was he frightened no no noA
He onward cheerfully did goA
And though that he did freeze his cheekB
The fire side he did never seekB
But straight went onward in his courseC
So happy driving his good horseC
And merrily along the wayD
The bells did ring around his sleighD
