O For A Lodge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDD CCEEFGHHIIJ

'O for a Lodge in some vast wilderness 'A
A man cryed out in his distressB
For he was tired and sick of lifeC
And weary of this worldly strifeC
And longed for to be far awayD
From the continuous daily frayD
-
But the fond partner of his lifeC
His own dearest loving wifeC
Those sentiments did not admireE
For fiercely they did rouse her ireE
Said she ' I'll never let you budgeF
To go and join another LodgeG
Your Lodges take six nights each weekH
And still another Lodge you seekH
For your whole time they soon will stealI
You won't get home even to a mealI
Continuous abroad you'll roamJ
And never enter your own home '-
