They rescued all the crew save one | D |
And were content with what they done | D |

But they had not their captain Harry | E |
Who on the shore was forced to tarry | E |
And knew not of the disaster | F |
So crew had worked without a master | F |

But when he heard of the shipwreck | G |
And that a man was left on deck | G |
He quickly hurried the boat's crew | H |
For to again attempt his rescue | H |

But earnestly his old mother | F |
Reminded him of his lost brother | F |
Perhaps drowned in foreign sea | E |
She cried son stay and comfort me | E |

But wreck they reach and rescue man | I |
And thrill of joy o'er city ran | I |
When it was found 'twas Harry's brother | F |
Had returned to comfort mother | F |

Who strive their fellow men to save | J |
The mother's griefs it did assuage | K |
And happy now is her old age | K |
