Longfellow Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCDDAAEE

Like fruit that's large and ripe and mellowA
Sweet and luscious is LongfellowA
Melodious songs he oft did pourB
And high was his ExcelsiorC
He shows us in his psalm of lifeD
The folly of our selfish strifeD
With Hiawatha we bewailA
His suffering in great Indian taleA
Indian nation was forlornE
Till great spirit planted cornE
