London Children Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CCDDEFGG

We have had the pleasure of hearing and seeing several clever childrenA
from the city of London We commemorate them in the followingB
-
Do you unto this world belongC
To cheer us merrily with songC
Are you mortal like ourselvesD
Or are you charming little elvesD
Sent from some higher sphereE
To bliss and comfort us while hereF
May you be spared from earthly woesG
And each blossom like the roseG
