Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCAA DEFF GGCC HHHH

Some do boast of their pedigreesA
But Salford's parent of the cheeseA
Ranney industrious and wiseB
Here started this great enterpriseB
-
He did work on the dairy planC
While Farrington was factorymanC
Both of these men it well did pleaseA
To hear of progress making cheeseA
-
The farmers are in cheerful moodD
For harvest all it has been goodE
And all the grain was sown this springF
An abundant yield will bringF
-
And you can scarcely stow awayG
The yield of barley oats and hayG
Such pasture it is seldom seenC
E'en now it is so fresh and greenC
-
This beauteous colour nature decksH
While it insures you large milk chequesH
And certes you've much cause to praiseH
For hogs and cattle that you raiseH
