Lines Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBBBBBBB CCCCCCCC

Addressed to Jonathan Wingle EsqA
-
In summer time we roam o'er dingleB
But winter draws us round the ingleB
Why do you remain thus singleB
When love would make two hearts tingleB
Pray tell me why my dearest WingleB
With the fair you do not mingleB
Better with love 'neath cot of shingleB
Than all your yellow gold to jingleB
-
For married life you would enjoyC
And soon a little girl and boyC
They would your leisure hours employC
At Christmas you could buy each toyC
And fill their little hearts with joyC
For their amusements never cloyC
Business cares do men annoyC
Child's happiness knows no alloyC
