Rhyme Scheme: AABCBCDDEE

Once while digging 'neath the snowA
'Mid Canadian winter loA
To our joy and surpriseB
We saw some violets in full bloomC
Gazing at us with loving eyesB
Thanking us for opening their tombC
Yet still they seemed so cozy and niceD
Enshrined in the crystal iceD
While all else were drooping deadE
Gaily they held up their headE
