| We resolved for to afford | F |
| A day with Council and School Board | F |
| For to view the rural charms | G |
| Of hills and dales and fertile farms | G |
| With joy we saw the sunbeams gleam | H |
| On Grand River beauteous stream | H |
| And those perpendicular walls | I |
| Of rock like old baronial halls | I |
| We saw the great lake ebb and flow | J |
| And Queen City of Ontario | J |
| While some enjoyed the genial smile | K |
| Of Hanlon on his lake girt isle | K |
| Returning home each one exclaims | L |
| 'Happiest spot is banks of Thames ' | - |
