Though o'er it hath hung a cloud | A |
It was heavy dark profound | B |
Weighing o'er ten thousand pound | B |
But now the clouds do disappear | C |
And the sun is shining clear | C |
Now with pleasure we do behold | D |
Our railroad bonds are good as gold | D |
The people now need not despair | E |
But thank our Council and our Mayor | F |
