To seek the shade of the green wood | A |
For it doth banish all our care | B |
When we gaze on scene so fair | B |

Their mutual joys together share | B |

Here nature's charming never rude | D |
Inspiring all with happy mood | D |
Tables had choice fruits of season | E |
And we too had feast of reason | E |

Through evergreen triumphal arch | F |
On top the Union Jack it floats | G |
On each side sheaves of wheat and oats | G |

Great pumpkins and big ears of corn | H |
They do this rural arch adorn | H |
We are reminded now 'tis fall | I |
And boys enjoy game of baseball | I |

With joy at night each one did gaze | J |
At the mighty bonfire's blaze | J |
The tree leaves shone like silver bright | K |
The lanterns too were pleasing sight | K |
