Episcopal Harvest Home Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EFF

To dinner table all do marchA
Through evergreen triumphal archA
On top the Union Jack it floatsB
On each side sheaves of wheat and oatsB
-
Great pumpkins and big ears of cornC
They do this rural arch adornC
We are reminded now 'tis fallD
And boys enjoy game of foot ballD
-
With joy at night each one did gaze At the mighty bonfires blazeE
The tree leaves shone like silver brightF
The lanterns too were pleasing sightF
