I'm counting the days to hold you close,
some days take to long to end,
staring through the window wishing, I could hold your hand,
kiss your lips, hug you for just five minutes would be fine.
I hear the clock ticking or has it stopped I'm counting,
thinking, memories I have won't end if only I could see your smile,
once would be sublime, waiting, waiting for the night to end.
A day closer will the phone ring, or will it be just another call,
quickly think what to say, I love you.
Let me listen to your voice to me stories, send me pictures.
Help the days go fast; I can't wait if only I could look into your eyes,
for a brief moment, I could feel your love running through my whole body.
Only five days I'm still counting.

Collin Andrew Sherriff: This resonated with me immensely. I myself am in a state of melancholy limbo where I am longing to see someone, and time just takes its, well, time.
