Biography of James Charles Cooke

James Charles Cooke Published Author And Poet

This book is a result of walking in the countryside with my dogs watching the birds and animals in their natural habitat, always wondering if they actually communicate in their own way. In one instance a sparrow was creating a dust storm; we assume he is having a bath, or could he be playing? So I decided to create a story involving several animals. As I studied them more closely I began giving them names, such as Brian the sparrow who seems to be unafraid of people and always up to mischief, visiting my garden and stealing the dogs’ food. Harry is a large black cat; he wanders about the lane where I live as if he owns it. He seems to disappear for two or three days at a time. I can only assume that he has been on some sort of adventure and this is where my story begins.

L'âme d'un vieux poète erre dans la gouttière
