The title came first.
Do you believe that?
There is no blueprint here.
No plan.
C’est la vie.
For if I did
God would be on the ground
Tears gushing down his silver beard
Unable to speak
Wheezing
In hysterics.
And I do not wish to make God cry.
Bugs
Bugs
What kind of parents name their kid
Bugs?
Who was the first parent
To look at a pile of insects
And think to themselves
“I will name my son after that.”
And more importantly
How did it catch on?
Bugs eats carrots
Non-stop.
Maybe he should try apples
Instead.
That’s why Elmer and Yosemite aren’t kept away from him.
Woodstock
Wood
Stock
Woods
Tock
I need to change my wall clock
Now that Daylight Saving’s is over
But it’ll need to be changed again anyway
So why bother?
I need to keep practicing my arithmetic anyway.
Woodstock and pot.
Maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised at that.
But how did Bugs get there?
Maybe the Peanuts live in Albuquerque.
Has Schulz ever said they didn’t?
I think Woodstock’s a bad influence on Bugs
In that he puts him under it.
But maybe we shouldn’t be surprised with Bugs either
Given how rabbits just love lettuce
That hellish vegetable
(ved-juh-tuh-buhl).
Geez
No wonder Bugs is eating carrots all the time.

You know what?
Amen to that.
