I saw my can of shaving cream just sitting in the trash can
When I realized that I had no memory of throwing it away.

Most likely I just forgot about doing it.

But what if
The can of shaving cream
Now light as air
Because it’s empty
Had flown from the countertop
And intentionally threw itself
Away
In the garbage?

That sounded way sadder than I intended.
I will go back to pretending the can of shaving cream
Is an inanimate object.
