A Diamond Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A ABCAA D ECCA F AGHICAA

lt i gt A Translation for Robert Jones lt i gtA
-
A diamondA
Is thereB
At the heart of the moon or the branches or my nakednessC
And there is nothing in the universe like diamondA
Nothing in the whole mindA
-
The poem is a seagull resting on a pier at the end of the oceanD
-
A dog howls at the moonE
A dog howls at the branchesC
A dog howls at the nakednessC
A dog howling with pure mindA
-
I ask for the poem to be as pure as a seagull s bellyF
-
The universe falls apart and discloses a diamondA
Two words called seagull are peacefully floating out where theG
waves areH
The dog is dead there with the moon with the branches withI
my nakednessC
And there is nothing in the universe like diamondA
Nothing in the whole mindA
