Rejoice ye righteous in the LordA
This work belongs to youB
Sing of his name his ways his wordC
How holy just and trueB
-
His mercy and his righteousnessD
Let heav'n and earth proclaimE
His works of nature and of graceF
Reveal his wondrous nameE
-
His wisdom and almighty wordC
The heav'nly arches spreadG
And by the Spirit of the LordA
Their shining hosts were madeH
-
He bid the liquid waters flowI
To their appointed deepJ
The flowing seas their limits knowI
And their own station keepJ
-
Ye tenants of the spacious earthK
With fear before him standL
He spake and nature took its birthK
And rests on his commandL
-
He scorns the angry nations' rageM
And breaks their vain designsN
His counsel stands through ev'ry ageM
And in full glory shinesN
-
Blessed is the nation where the LordA
Hath fixed his gracious throneO
Where he reveals his heav'nly wordC
And calls their tribes his ownO
-
His eye with infinite surveyP
Does the whole world beholdQ
He formed us all of equal clayP
And knows our feeble mouldQ
-
Kings are not rescued by the forceR
Of armies from the graveS
Nor speed nor courage of a horseR
Can the bold rider saveS
-
Vain is the strength of beasts or menT
To hope for safety thenceU
But holy souls from God obtainV
A strong and sure defenseU
-
God is their fear and God their trustW
When plagues or famine spreadG
His watchful eye secures the justW
Among ten thousand deadG
-
Lord let our hearts in thee rejoiceX
And bless us from thy throneO
For we have made thy word our choiceX
And trust thy grace aloneO
