Psalm Xxxii: Happy The Man Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EFEF GHGH IJIJ KLML NCNA

Happy the man to whom his GodA
No more imputes his sinB
But washed in the Redeemer's bloodC
Hath made his garments cleanD
-
Happy beyond expression heE
Who debts are thus dischargedF
And from the guilty bondage freeE
He feels his soul enlargedF
-
His spirit hates deceit and liesG
His words are all sincereH
He guards his heart he guards his eyesG
To keep his conscience clearH
-
While I my inward guilt suppressedI
No quiet could I findJ
Thy wrath lay burning in my breastI
And racked my tortured mindJ
-
Then I confessed my troubled thoughtsK
My secret sins revealedL
Thy pard'ning grace forgave my faultsM
Thy grace my pardon sealedL
-
This shall invite thy saints to prayN
When like a raging floodC
Temptations rise our strength and stayN
Is a forgiving GodA
