O Lord our Lord how wondrous greatA
Is thine exalted nameB
The glories of thy heav'nly stateA
Let men and babes proclaimB
-
When I behold thy works on highC
The moon that rules the nightD
And stars that well adorn the skyC
Those moving worlds of lightD
-
Lord what is man or all his raceE
Who dwells so far belowF
That thou should visit him with graceE
And love his nature soF
-
That thine eternal Son should bearG
To take a mortal formH
Made lower than His angels areI
To save a dying wormJ
-
Yet while He lived on earth unknownK
And men would not adoreL
The obedient seas and fishes ownK
His Godhead and his powerM
-
The waves lay spread beneath His featN
And fish at his commandO
Bring their large shoals to Peter's netP
Bring tribute to his handO
-
Those lesser glories of the sonQ
Shone through the fleshly cloudR
Now we behold Him on His throneK
And men confess Him GodS
-
Let Him be crowned with majestyT
Who bowed His head to deathU
And be His honors sounded highC
By all things that have breathU
-
Jesus our Lord how wondrous greatA
Is thine exalted nameB
The glories of thy heavenly stateA
Let the whole earth proclaimB
