Rhyme Scheme: ABC DDEE FFGG HIJK LLMM

vA
L MB
Christ reigning in heaven and coming to judgmentC
-
He reigns the Lord the Savior reignsD
Praise him in evangelic strainsD
Let the whole earth in songs rejoiceE
And distant islands join their voiceE
-
Deep are his counsels and unknownF
But grace and truth support his throneF
Though gloomy clouds his ways surroundG
Justice is their eternal groundG
-
In robes of judgment lo he comesH
Shakes the wide earth and cleaves the tombsI
Before him burns devouring fireJ
The mountains melt the seas retireK
-
His enemies with sore dismayL
Fly from the sight and shun the dayL
Then lift your heads ye saints on highM
And sing for your redemption's nighM
