Psalm 92 Part 1 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCC DDEE FGHH IIJJ KKLL MMNO PPQQ

A Psalm for the Lord's dayA
-
Sweet is the work my God my KingB
To praise thy name give thanks and singB
To show thy love by morning lightC
And talk of all thy truth at nightC
-
Sweet is the day of sacred restD
No mortal cares shall seize my breastD
O may my heart in tune be foundE
Like David's harp of solemn soundE
-
My heart shall triumph in my LordF
And bless his works and bless his wordG
Thy works of grace how bright they shineH
How deep thy counsels how divineH
-
Fools never raise their thoughts so highI
Like brutes they live like brutes they dieI
Like grass they flourish till thy breathJ
Blast them in everlasting deathJ
-
But I shall share a glorious partK
When grace hath well refined my heartK
And fresh supplies of joy are shedL
Like holy oil to cheer my headL
-
Sin my worst enemy beforeM
Shall vex my eyes and ears no moreM
My inward foes shall all be slainN
Nor Satan break my peace againO
-
Then shall I see and hear and knowP
All I desired or wished belowP
And every power find sweet employQ
In that eternal world of joyQ
