Psalm 89 Part 1 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBD EFGF HIJK LMNM OPOP

The faithfulness of GodA
-
My never ceasing songs shall showB
The mercies of the LordC
And make succeeding ages knowB
How faithful is his wordD
-
The sacred truths his lips pronounceE
Shall firm as heav'n endureF
And if he speak a promise onceG
Th' eternal grace is sureF
-
How long the race of David heldH
The promised Jewish throneI
But there's a nobler cov'nant sealedJ
To David's greater SonK
-
His seed for ever shall possessL
A throne above the skiesM
The meanest subject of his graceN
Shall to that glory riseM
-
Lord God of hosts thy wondrous waysO
Are sung by saints aboveP
And saints on earth their honors raiseO
To thy unchanging loveP
