Psalm 84 Part 2 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCC DDEF GGHH IJKL GGAA

God and his church or Grace and gloryA
-
Great God attend while Zion singsB
The joy that from thy presence springsB
To spend one day with thee on earthC
Exceeds a thousand days of mirthC
-
Might I enjoy the meanest placeD
Within thy house O God of graceD
Not tents of ease nor thrones of powerE
Should tempt my feet to leave thy doorF
-
God is our sun he makes our dayG
God is our shield he guards our wayG
From all th' assaults of hell and sinH
From foes without and foes withinH
-
All needful grace will God bestowI
And crown that grace with glory tooJ
He gives us all things and withholdsK
No real good from upright soulsL
-
O God our King whose sovereign swayG
The glorious hosts of heav'n obeyG
And devils at thy presence fleeA
Blest is the man that trusts in theeA
