Psalm 78 Part 1 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDC EFGF HIJI EKLK

Providences of God recordedA
-
Let children hear the mighty deedsB
Which God performed of oldC
Which in our younger years we sawD
And which our fathers toldC
-
He bids us make his glories knownE
His works of power and graceF
And we'll convey his wonders downG
Through every rising raceF
-
Our lips shall tell them to our sonsH
And they again to theirsI
That generations yet unbornJ
May teach them to their heirsI
-
Thus shall they learn in God aloneE
Their hope securely standsK
That they may ne'er forget his worksL
But practise his commandsK
