Rhyme Scheme: A BBCC DDEE FFGH IJKL MNOO PPQQ RCST UUVV

Christ's kingdom among the GentilesA
-
Jesus shall reign where'er the sunB
Does his successive journeys runB
His kingdom stretch from shore to shoreC
Till moons shall wax and wane no moreC
-
Behold the islands with their kingsD
And Europe her best tribute bringsD
From north to south the princes meetE
To pay their homage at his feetE
-
There Persia glorious to beholdF
There India shines in eastern goldF
And barb'rous nations at his wordG
Submit and bow and own their LordH
-
For him shall endless prayer be madeI
And praises throng to crown his headJ
His name like sweet perfume shall riseK
With every morning sacrificeL
-
People and realms of every tongueM
Dwell on his love with sweetest songN
And infant voices shall proclaimO
Their early blessings on his nameO
-
Blessings abound where'er he reignsP
The pris'ner leaps to lose his chainsP
The weary find eternal restQ
And all the sons of want are blestQ
-
Where he displays his healing powerR
Death and the curse are known no moreC
In him the tribes of Adam boastS
More blessings than their father lostT
-
Let every creature rise and bringU
Peculiar honors to our KingU
Angels descend with songs againV
And earth repeat the long AmenV
