Psalm 69 Part 3 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDC EFGH IJKL MNMN EOEO JPLP

Christ's obedience and death or God glorified and sinners savedA
-
Father I sing thy wondrous graceB
I bless my Savior's nameC
He bought salvation for the poorD
And bore the sinner's shameC
-
His deep distress has raised us highE
His duty and his zealF
Fulfilled the law which mortals brokeG
And finished all thy willH
-
His dying groans his living songsI
Shall better please my GodJ
Than harp or trumpet's solemn soundK
Than goat's or bullock's bloodL
-
This shall his humble followers seeM
And set their hearts at restN
They by his death draw near to theeM
And live for ever blestN
-
Let heav'n and all that dwell on highE
To God their voices raiseO
While lands and seas assist the skyE
And join t' advance the praiseO
-
Zion is thine most holy GodJ
Thy Son shall bless her gatesP
And glory purchased by his bloodL
For thy own Isr'el waitsP
