Psalm 65 Part 3 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AA BCBD EFEF GBGB HIHI AJAK LMLM

The blessings of the spring or God gives rainA
A Psalm for the husbandmanA
-
Good is the Lord the heav'nly KingB
Who makes the earth his careC
Visits the pastures ev'ry springB
And bids the grass appearD
-
The clouds like rivers raised on highE
Pour out at thy commandF
Their wat'ry blessings from the skyE
To cheer the thirsty landF
-
The softened ridges of the fieldG
Permit the corn to springB
The valleys rich provision yieldG
And the poor lab'rers singB
-
The little hills on every sideH
Rejoice at falling showersI
The meadows dressed in all their prideH
Perfume the air with flowersI
-
The barren clods refreshed with rainA
Promise a joyful cropJ
The parching grounds look green againA
And raise the reaper's hopeK
-
The various months thy goodness crownsL
How bounteous are thy waysM
The bleating flocks spread o'er the downsL
And shepherds shout thy praiseM
