No trust in the creatures or Faith in Divine grace and powerC
-
My spirit looks to God aloneD
My rock and refuge is his throneD
In all my fears in all my straitsE
My soul on his salvation waitsE
-
Trust him ye saints in all your waysF
Pour out your hearts before his faceG
When helpers fail and foes invadeH
God is our all sufficient aidH
-
False are the men of high degreeA
The baser sort are vanityA
Laid in the balance both appearI
Light as a puff of empty airJ
-
Make not increasing gold your trustK
Nor set your hearts on glitt'ring dustK
Why will you grasp the fleeting smokeL
And not believe what God has spokeL
-
Once has his awful voice declaredM
Once and again my ears have heardN
All power is his eternal dueO
He must be feared and trusted tooO
-
For sovereign power reigns not aloneD
Grace is a partner of the throneD
Thy grace and justice mighty LordP
Shall well divide our last rewardP
