Psalm 57 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCBC DEDE FGHG IJIJ KDKD FGHG

Praise for protection grace and truthA
-
My God in whom are all the springsB
Of boundless love and grace unknownC
Hide me beneath thy spreading wingsB
Till the dark cloud is overblownC
-
Up to the heav'ns I send my cryD
The Lord will my desires performE
He sends his angel from the skyD
And saves me from the threat'ning stormE
-
Be thou exalted O my GodF
Above the heav'ns where angels dwellG
Thy power on earth be known abroadH
And land to land thy wonders tellG
-
My heart is fixed my song shall raiseI
Immortal honors to thy nameJ
Awake my tongue to sound his praiseI
My tongue the glory of my frameJ
-
High o'er the earth his mercy reignsK
And reaches to the utmost skyD
His truth to endless years remainsK
When lower worlds dissolve and dieD
-
Be thou exalted O my GodF
Above the heav'ns where angels dwellG
Thy power on earth be known abroadH
And land to land thy wonders tellG
