-
The backslider restoredB
-
O Thou that hear'st when sinners cryC
Though all my crimes before thee lieC
Behold them not with angry lookD
But blot their mem'ry from thy bookD
-
Create my nature pure withinE
And form my soul averse to sinE
Let thy good Spirit ne'er departF
Nor hide thy presence from my heartF
-
I cannot live without thy lightG
Cast out and banished from thy sightG
Thine holy joys my God restoreH
And guard me that I fall no moreH
-
Though I have grieved thy Spirit LordB
His help and comfort still affordB
And let a wretch come near thy throneI
To plead the merits of thy SonJ
-
A broken heart my God my KingK
Is all the sacrifice I bringK
The God of grace will ne'er despiseL
A broken heart for sacrificeM
-
My soul lies humbled in the dustN
And owns thy dreadful sentence justN
Look down O Lord with pitying eyeC
And save the soul condemned to dieC
-
Then will I teach the world thy waysO
Sinners shall learn thy sovereign graceP
I'll lead them to my Savior's bloodQ
And they shall praise a pard'ning GodR
-
O may thy love inspire my tongueS
Salvation shall be all my songT
And all my powers shall join to blessU
The Lord my strength and righteousnessV
