vA
C MB
The judgment of hypocritesC
-
When Christ to judgment shall descendD
And saints surround their LordE
He calls the nations to attendD
And hear his awful wordF
-
Not for the want of bullocks slainG
Will I the world reproveA
Altars and rites and forms are vainG
Without the fire of loveA
-
And what have hypocrites to doH
To bring their sacrificeI
They call my statutes just and trueH
But deal in theft and liesJ
-
Could you expect to 'scape my sightK
And sin without controlL
But I shall bring your crimes to lightK
With anguish in your soulL
-
Consider ye that slight the LordE
Before his wrath appearM
If once you fall beneath his swordE
There's no deliv'rer thereN
