Psalm 45 Part 1 Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCD EEFF GGHH IIJJ KKLL MMNN

The glory of Christ and power of his gospelA
-
Now be my heart inspired to singB
The glories of my Savior KingB
Jesus the Lord how heav'nly fairC
His form how bright his beauties areD
-
O'er all the sons of human raceE
He shines with a superior graceE
Love from his lips divinely flowsF
And blessings all his state composeF
-
Dress thee in arms most mighty LordG
Gird on the terror of thy swordG
In majesty and glory rideH
With truth and meekness at thy sideH
-
Thine anger like a pointed dartI
Shall pierce the foes of stubborn heartI
Or words of mercy kind and sweetJ
Shall melt the rebels at thy feetJ
-
Thy throne O God for ever standsK
Grace is the sceptre in thy handsK
Thy laws and works are just and rightL
Justice and grace are thy delightL
-
God thine own God has richly shedM
His oil of gladness on thy headM
And with his sacred Spirit blestN
His first born Son above the restN
